Discussions With MAE

Me: Wow, I have really bad grammar.
MAE: No you don't.
Me: Oh. Hey, MAE. I was just talking to myself about how bad my grammar is. Did you read my last blog? Talk about being uneducated.
MAE: (chuckles) I guess.
Me: But whatever. Hey, did I ever tell you about my new camera? I'm trying to think of a name for it. What about Jalibdamije? Cool, huh?
MAE: I was going to recommend something simple, like Snappy or something.
Me: Snappy? Haha, you're totally funny.
MAE: That wasn't even funny.
Me: Do you EVER laugh?
MAE: I grin, and maybe even chuckle a little. But not the hardcore laughing you're used to.
Me: I can't imagine a world without hardcore laughing.
MAE: Well, it's the world of Alter Egos.
Me: Speaking of Alter Egos...have you met Sasha Fierce, Beyonce's alter ego?
MAE: No. The chances here are just as slim as YOU meeting a celebrity.
Me: No way. This is so cool.
MAE: It's just your imagination. So it's as cool as it gets.
Me: Wow. So I can name it anything?
MAE: You're making this up as you go along, so I guess.
Me: What about...Celistia?
MAE: (chuckles) I guess.
Me: No, it's kind of conceited. I have to be more considerate of others, now do I?
MAE: Yes. Yes, you do.
Me: Uhh...MUP-FAE?
MAE: What does it stand for?
Me: Made-Up Place For Alter Egos?
MAE: Yes, that's better.
Me: So who are your friends there?
MAE: Well, there's Omusa. And Ayita.
Me: Whoa...What is that, Russian?
MAE: Native American.
Me: Ohh. So who are they?
MAE: Magaskawee is Elisa's, and Ayita is Jannel's.
Me: That is be-awesome. What are they like?
MAE: Just the totally opposite of how they are in your world. Ayita's attitude rarely changes, and she's not...that smart. Omusa just agrees with everyone.
Me: Cool. Really cool. Ugh, I wish I was there.
MAE: Mmmm.
Me: So what so their names mean?
MAE: Ayita means "first to dance", and Omusa means "misses with arrows".
Me: That's...different. What about you?
MAE: I'm Sitala. "Of good memory".
Me: Amazing.
MAE: (chuckles) I guess.
Me: Are those your real names?
MAE: Our real names are [your name]'s Alter Ego.
Me: What about Sasha Fierce? She isn't addressed by Beyonce Giselle Knowles's Alter Ego.
MAE: Not to you, maybe. But that's her real name. I mean, does anybody call you Tamar [middle name] Celis?
Me: When they're mad...
MAE: Exactly. Sasha Fierce is just a nickname of hers. You have nicknames, right?
Me: Mmm, I see. Anyway, I'm leaving on Monday. Can you believe it?
MAE: Yeah, I can.
Me: Haha, it's so...surreal. My mom's getting all meticulous about what I packed. Sheesh, I might have just packed a toothbrush!
MAE: Mother knows best.
Me: I guess. OOH! Guess what?
MAE: Hmm?
Me: Ugh, you're no fun. But whatever. I twitter now!
MAE: Cool. That's cool.
Me: Mhm, it sure is. And guess what else?
MAE: What?
Me: I saw Jessica McCord today!!
MAE: Oh cool. Her alter ego is quiet and reserved. And she's really stingy. So I'm guessing she's loud, funny, and generous.
Me: You got it. Oh, I miss her. But I have to go now. I'm tired, and this post is really long.
MAE: Okay. Good night.
Me: Ahh, but shoot. I forgot to tell you about my dreams in the past two nights.
[silence]
Me: Okay. 'Night.
