T's About To Spill: ease-Play on't-Day ead-Ray

(If you read pig latin, then you would have deciphered what my title means: Please Don't Read. A weird title for a blog post, I know, but since I don't have a real diary, I'm going to have to use this as one. For now. So PLEASE, if you can read the fine print, don't. I'm serious.)

Dear Blog-nal,
Today Jannel officially joined cross country. Our PE teachers are the coaches for cross country and have been begging her for a long time now. She finally agreed. The exchange? A $5 carwash ticket for a handwritten contract that guarantees her participation in the sport. Because of all its specifications, there is absolutely no way to back down from it. Smart move, Mr. Villegas and Ms. Guzman.

Then she asked if I was mad. Finally she asks how I feel about this situation! But I'm not the type to explode and tell her how angry I was about it. I told her it's her life. And it is.

The only reason why I'm quite saddened by her joining cross is that volleyball was what got us together in the first place. If it wasn't for volleyball, we wouldn't be as close as we are now. The sad part is that with almost nothing in common next year (different electives, different classes), how will we follow through with our website teewok.wetpaint.com? How will we remain (best) friends?

Funny thing is I don't know why I'm entangling myself in this situation so much. It's not like this is the first time we've been in different sports. I think my problem is that I'm missing her before she's even gone.
