T's About To Spill: UNI! KAHI!

Elisa: "Tami! Get on the boat! Paddles SET!"
Me: (trying to catch up with the boat) "Wait, just wait!"
(I get on; huge fart noise is made)
Me: "Whoa! That so wasn't me!"

(Elisa is laughing her head off)

That was, in fact, me, but it wasn't a fart. Actually, it was the sound my wet shorts made as it slid across the seat. It was so funny :)

Today was the second day Keziah steered. Since I'm at the front of the boat, the only place to look is forward, and I was getting pretty dizzy from her steering. Geez, it was hilarious. Everyone (or was it just me?) was like, "Keziah! Where are we going?" (But on a serious note, if she doesn't improve, we might get DQ'd on our turns.)

Bad news. Next Saturday, we're doing 1000 meters. That's like, 3 turns, and turns always wear me out.

Scenario:
First, it's "UNI", then you see my arms are shaking from all that water I'm holding. After a few seconds, they yell, "KAHI", and I feel like keeling over and dying from trying to pull all that water under the boat.

Honestly, turns are like writing a reflection paper on a really cool movie. Watching the movie, or paddling one direction, is easy-going. At the end, you have a paper to write, or a buoy to turn around, and it feels like torture. The reflection paper and the turn both have a similar purpose: They make or break you (paddling= time; grammar= grade).
