T's About To Spill: Goodbye

Today, I attended SHANK! practice, ate a huge crepe at King's, tried their Duendes burgers, saw my mom leave to P.I., and took Payumo's online test.

SHANK! practice wasn't very fun. I did, however, have an okay time playing two-on-two pepper with Shylah, Annalyn, and Evelyn. Luckily (and awkwardly), I was partnered up with Evelyn. Haha, we won.

Anyways, we did a lot of jumping. Coach Jack really likes to practice blocking. I was unfortunately placed with the "veterans". But then again, there were only seven of us, so it doesn't really matter. We did a lot of hitting after that, and I did okay. (Okay for an outside hitter, but really good for a libero.)

After practice ended (it was from 1-4), Shylah and I played around on the felled poles outside the sports complex. At first, we pretended we were models walking down the runway. Then we were hobos train-hopping. Then Mexicans jumping the border. Then we were slaves escaping throught the Underground Railroad (I don't think Shylah fully understands that slaves didn't travel on a REAL railroad, haha.) After that, we were James Bond people. Shylah did this super-funny slow-motion thingy, and I pretended that I was shooting the people on her...nevermind, it's quite hard to explain.

After we stopped laughing, we sat down. She told me that she hopes she can just stay for the volleyball season next year (she's leaving to Texas). Then my ride came. It was the big, ugly, banged-up truck. I even had to sit in the back. Good thing it was only a short ride--from the complex to King's. There we had the crepe and Duendes Burgers. Both were really good.

Oh, another important (and funny) thing that happened at King's was when my mom wore Shylah's black crocs. (She was even going to wear it to Philippines, if I'm not mistaken.) Then when we went, she asked Dar to trade shoes (the latter was wearing a more formal version of crocs).
Dar: MOM!! Okay, but hurry, my manager might see me.
(Everyone settles for a few seconds; Dar looks down)
Dar: Tami, give me your socks! I can't be seen like this!
Me: No! I just came from SHANK! They're all stinky!
Dar: It's okay. Take them off.
(I take them off; Dar realizes that my socks are pink and blue. She sighs.)

Haha, I'm NEVER doing that again.

Then we went to the airport to see my mom off. There we met a very outspoken guy named Jay who plays volleyball (or coaches it, I'm not not so sure) for SideOut. He went up to me because I was wearing kneepads. Then he struck up a conversation with my mom and me. The conversation was kind of boring, until he got to all their benefits. They always practice in an air-conditioned gym, they get free kneepads, a free volleyball bag...all for $36! And, if you're really good, St. Paul will give you a contract to go to their school. But then again, that's not much, since their team is...nevermind.

Then I took Ms. Payumo's test and got a 95%. It was a freaking open-notes test, and I got -1. I'm so pissed. Anyways, later on, Ed offered me a FREE home-made sticker. Amazing.

Oh, that reminds me of Kanye West's song, Amazing. (So amazing, so amazing, so amazing, it's amazing, or something like that.) It's kind of annoying, but I like his voice. Then that reminds me of Souja Boy's Turn My Swag On. (Haha, when I was looking for it on LimeWire, I typed in Get Your Souja Boy.)

Right now, I'm thinking of changing my blog song to either Come Home (OneRepublic), Scared of Lonely (Beyonce), Knock You Down (Keri Hilson feat. Kanye West and Ne-Yo), Amazing (West), Turn My Swag On (Souja Boy), Please Don't Leave Me (Pink), Too Late (James Blunt), Wordplay (Jason Mraz), Dreaming Out Loud (OneRepublic), or Check Up On It (Beyonce). I think I'll just add all of them and put it on random. By the way, all these songs are really good. Jannel, I'd recommend Too Late (Blunt). It sounds like your kind of song. Keziah, you should listen to Scared of Lonely (Bey). And I don't think the rest of you (Kailee and Elisa) like OneRepublic.

You know what I noticed? A lot of these songs are going to remind me of my mom's being on vacay (Come Home, Scared of Lonely, Please Don't Leave Me, and some of the lyrics of Too Late).

Oh, and I'm proud to say that I didn't cry this time. Usually, I cry when my mom leaves for more than two days. This time I didn't. The guy we met at the airport was a great distraction (:

Okay, good night.

BUT WAIT! There is a carwash on Sunday and the championship thingy for paddling is on Saturday. Be sure to attend both, or at least one!
