T's About To Spill: Fourth Paddling Race

Fourth already?! Yep. One more to go :(

Today was great! Although we were in the first heat, we won. We didn't even stretch out or anything! Haha. Seats? Me, Elisa, Vicki?, Jessa, Keziah, and Kailee. Too bad Jen wasn't here. Anyways, next was the Manhoben Mixed. Kailee's turn to stroke. Me? Seat 3, BLECHHH!

Second round, I got to stroke for Mahoben girls again. I loved it. The next Manhoben Mixed, I didn't get to race. It was the first time EVER for me to sit out. I was kind of pissed, but whatever. We placed second in that race, but it's all about the time, so we don't really know. Tony, the steersman, did all right, I guess. But at the end, he went really far from the flag, and Kailee had to poke (she was all the way in seat 1!). After the race, he seemed pretty angry.

After the games, I hung out with Elisa and the seniors for a bit. I took a couple of random pictures of Diamond, Elson, Summer, Anabelle, JP, and Jesse. They're really good pictures. Anyways, they all left for Ypao. (Aww...)

Anabelle and Elisa stayed back to attend my family's mini-BBQ at the beach. Good stuff right there. After we ate to our hearts' content, we swam. We did that chicken fight thingy. Or at least tried to. I kept trying to get on Dar, but we kept toppling. Elisa was pretty okay on Anabelle, but when Anabelle was on her, it was HILARIOUS! Joe (Dar's whatever-he-is) went on Ton (dad's friend), and that was...interesting. Then Dar went on Joe, and I on Ton. Oh gosh, that was outrageous. I don't even know how I stayed on that long!

After the chicken stuff, we tried submarine (a lame game where you swim under a person's leg and try not to touch them...of course, Ton has some relaly weird, made-up rules, so that made things a little better). Then we played Marco Polo. Or, as Dar says, DarCholo (whatever that means). Elisa (or was it Dar?) came up with a really cool way to play it, so we had tons of fun.

When it was about 3, we went ashore. I ate a little bit more, washed off, saw Anabelle leave, and then got into the back of my truck with Elisa. When we got to the street near Elisa's house, we had to call my dad (who was driving) to tell him that we're not dropping Elisa home and that she was watching the game with us. He couldn't here, so we had to act things out for him. That too was hilarious.

Dar had on her work uniform, so I knew she wasn't playing. Oh well, thought I. Jannel probably wants me to be there. HA!
After the game:
Me: Good job, Laura! You did amazing!
Laura: Thanks! How'd paddling go? I'm going to your last race.
Me: Blah blah blah, good, blah, tiring, blah, blah, sunburned, blah, proud, blah, blah...
Laura: That's good. Shoot!
Me: Okay, Laura. Bye! (sees Jannel) HEY JANNEL!! GOOD JOB!
Jannel: (looks for a few seconds, walks away)
Elisa: Let's go. I don't want to look like a couple of soccer chumps (I think that's what she said.)
Me: Yes, let's.

But whatever. Anyways, after the game, we went to Ross and spent a little more than an hour there. Elisa and I dared each other to try on these really ugly dresses. Mine being hot pink, prom-ish, and just plain ugly, hers being dark blue, a bit too big, but hecka nice. We looked stupid in those dresses. After that, we went to K-Mart, where I went inside and waited for the pizza...alone. Then we fed Uncle Dave (The Old Man) and dropped Elisa home. The last thing I remember saying to her was: I'm so blogging about today.
