T's About To Spill: First Paddling Race

There was a paddling race today, and BOY, am I tired! Heck, I think I overpaddled, haha. The first race was pretty amazing. I got tired like, after the third time we switched the side we were paddling on. And we weren't even halfway through! But we persevered. (Or was I the only one who was tired that early?) Anyways, we broke through and finished FIRST (1/3) in that heat. (We don't know our overall time though.) After the race, my friend Kailee, a fofessional paddler, started crying! It was so...emotional. I'm happy.

The second race, I paddled in the Manhoeben (young) mixed (co-ed) team. The boys there weren't as "seasoned" as Kailee, Elisa, and me, but we did all right. I think we came in 2/3.

The third race, we were up against Academy. We started behind, then caught up. They nearly caught up to us, but we kept the lead. We won the race; sadly, we were DQ'd (disqualified) from that heat because the nose of our boat was in front of the starting line. My bad.

The last race was pretty intense. I did PT's (Power Tens) the whole 500 meters. Im such a noob. But hey, we finished 2/3. Okay, okay, I shouldn't have pushed so hard. But don't coaches say to give it your 110% (refer to Jannel's blog @ that-one-kid.blogspot.com)? And that's what I did.
